Tire Sizes & How to Read Them

Tire sizes vary dramatically, even within the same class of vehicles. You need to be sure you know the sizes of the tires on your vehicle when getting new ones or even obtaining tire care. At Grieco Honda, the mechanics in our service center will help you to identify the tire sizes.

There are letters and numbers printed on the side of the tire, detailing the sizes. You will first see a " P" which identifies that the tires are for a passenger vehicle. The next number is three digits long and is the width of the tire in millimeters. A slash is there and then two digits to tell you the aspect ratio. After that, the " R" stands for radial construction and the next two digits tell you the diameter of the wheel in inches.

When you need tire care in Johnston, RI, simply identify the tire size and let us help.
